Where the AQMG fits into the US EPA
The Air Quality Modeling Group (AQMG) is in the US EPA's Office of Air and Radiation (OAR) and provides leadership and direction on the complete range of atmospheric dispersion models and other mathematical simulation techniques used in assessing emission source impacts and control strategies.[1]

The AQMG serves as the focal point on modeling techniques for other EPA headquarters staff, the EPA's regional offices, and State and local agencies. It coordinates with the EPA's Office of Research and Development on the development of new models and techniques, as well as wider issues of atmospheric research.[1] It also maintains the Support Center for Regulatory Atmospheric Modeling (SCRAM) website which is widely consulted by the air pollution dispersion modeling community.[2]

Finally, the AQMG conducts modeling analyses to support policy and regulatory decisions in the Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards (OAQPS).[1]

As seen in the adjacent diagram, the AQMG is within the Air Quality Assessment Division of the Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards (OAQPS). The OAQPS is located in the EPA's campus in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.[3]
